After having such a great experience with buying a Jixte 60 prototype, I wanted to check out what PK's TKL offering was like.
It was free shipping automatically, and I had thought that I could also take 20% off of the Plaque80 like I had the Jixte, but I was told that the holiday coupon wasn't usable since it was only supposed to be for the holidays.
HOWEVER, PK graciously offered to give me 180x free switches when they didn't have to. Unbelievable! Got 90 PK Sora linears, and 90 SP Star Meteor Whites.
The build process was easy (don't forget to snap off the USB tab since this board uses a daughterboard), and while you can use the included top mount screws to use it in a top mount config, I really like the o-ring config more and that's what I'm running it currently with.
Cherry MX hyperglide blacks, GMK switches, the aluminum plate (it also comes with an FR-4 plate), and the included o-ring makes for a fantastic feeling and sounding board.
I still love the Jixte more, because I believe it's as close to a Singa Unikorn as possible, and a perfect option between Bakeneko and Unikorn, but the Plaque80 isn't bad by any means.
I'll edit this review with a sound test once I record it. Just a great TKL and great people at PK!
Edit - sound test added on YouTube (I actually think PBT is the play here for the alphas, and some thin ABS like DCS for the spacebar is killer)
